The ‘Healing Place’ showed up out of nowhere as I smeared paint onto a small canvas I was trying to improve. This canvas had been sitting in my studio, and had already changed a half dozen times at least. Suddenly this glorious composition and space showed up for me, and I said yes immediately. The energy had shown up and the painting was finally here!
I realized that this was how I’ve experienced healing many times in my life. After being in effort, trying in vain to make whatever I was sitting in go away, suddenly (sometimes) it would. I might do one small thing differently, change my attitude just a wee bit, focus on something different, or even just take a nap (!), and voila, the energy would release.
