‘Changing Landscapes’ speaks to the constant evolution and changes in our lives, internally and outside of us. Everywhere we look, the landscapes on earth are changing. Not just seasonally, but in a bigger way. We are collectively learning the lessons of impermanence, and it’s not always an easy lesson.
The earth is constantly in movement, with new landscapes appearing daily. Every one of these landscapes started within us. The changing earth is reflecting what we are waking up to knowing, and we are reflecting the earth’s changes back again.
In this time of ever changing climates and uncertainty about whether or not a landscape will still exist tomorrow, I’m inspired to pay closer attention and value what is here now.

The tree appeared out of the mist one full moon night, in a field where flowers had bloomed for many years. The flowers were gone now, some of them recently, some long ago. Memories were all that remained for we who had known them.
Perhaps because it grew where the flowers had been, the tree knew the same song the flowers once sang. As the tree sang the flower’s song, the memories of flowers that had come and gone helped us all feel our love and grief for the flowers we missed.

Of all the planets I’ve visited in my many dream journeys, my pink planet is the very best. The energy there is playful and so fun, lots of colorful moons come by to show themselves off. Just zipping around through the atmosphere is a real treat. I feel like everything is working exactly as it needs to every time I see my pink planet, just doing what it does.

Lenny met Yul in middle school, when Yul showed up in Lenny’s class as a transfer student from another place far away. Lenny can never remember which distant land Yul claimed to come from, and isn’t even sure Yul actually said.
The two became fast friends, happy to discover in each other similar quirky traits that others sometimes considered antisocial and unfriendly, such as holding staring contests with unwilling victims, deliberately confusing word play, and tripping over one’s own shoes.
It surprised no one that after graduating from high school, they both attended a local school for clowns called Bobo’s Academy of Higher Clowning. To this day, Lenny is known as a master of the clown soft shoe, and Yul specializes in the art of the stare. Both are highly sought after on the clown circuit.
